Moved In!
First, thanks to all for your support. Your prayers are always welcome. Today was the big moving day. I had done 6 trips using my sister Amanda's truck this week and today we did two trips with a 17" truck and dad's trailer. The house is about 3/4 full of boxes and furniture but about 10% unpacked. Mom and siter got a majority of the kitchen unpacked, dad and I got the bedrooms done, and I got my deck together so the internet guy can get the broadband and cable going tomorrow. No antenna here :( and I got suckered into the broadband. It will be useful to access the library resources as well I am going to get us a non cellular number next month but will be using voice over IP instead of silly Verizon's $47.95 (+ service fees) unlimited plan (with out extra call features.) VOIP runs $29.95 plus taxes for unlimited nationwide (and Canada, Mexico and few other countries.) I had five guys from the sem meet dad, mandie and I at the storage facility at 9 am (I did a load at 7 of loose stuff like shelves, toys, tools, etc that I hadn't got during the week.) I we had both trucks loaded full by 9:45. The unload took longer, maybe until 11:15 or so. Then two of my study buddies and the rest went back for the remnants. We were said and done by about 1 o'clock and were treated to pizza and beer. Grandma and Grandpa G stopped by and brought food for later (lunch tomorrow). We didn't want any cleanup so after the kids played for a hour or so, we went to Olive Garden for a nice dinner as a family. The kids all crashed when we got back, even with Ethan and Gabriel now sharing a room! There is much more unpacking to go and any help is appreciated! Come for a visit! Tomorrow a fellow student invited us for a barbecue in the afternoon and we'll try the church that's 6 or 7 blocks away. It didn't come up in my list of confessional, liturgical churches but maybe they were missed. 10 o'clock service so I should get the much needed shower and get some rest. It's wonderful to have the family back and the we all (especially the kids) love having a home again. I'll throw some greek news out later in the week after the midterm on Wednesday and Thursday. For the time being I need to do some heavy-duty studying. I'll have to find a box to sit on. :) Chris
