Continuing our discussion on using reason in matters of faith comes a relatively interesting viewpoint in the following two articles. He suggests and follows the tradition of Justin Martyr in that irrational behavior leads away from a theistic faith and the likes of Plato and Aristotle were really monotheists and were leading to the same pinnacle of Christ, just without the old Israel. I can't say that i agree or that our reason can lead us to faith. It is a gift but faith comes through hearing the Spirit-filled Word of God, not our reasoning conjecture. If this were the case, all intelligent thinkers would be Christians. Check them out anyway for an interesting read. |
