Garden update...

You remember the garden post from April? The efforts have starting bearing fruit.

I picked 10 banana peppers over the weekend and the cabbage is close.

The peapods have extended quite a way in the air, 8 or so inches higher than the tressle!

And our tomatoes are about ready. We've got both cherry and larger tomatoes.

Looking great, Chris! Nothing like those fresh homegrown veggies.

At this point, after 7 years of having a very defined garden in the Arizona desert, my garden (all flowers and ground cover) here in Fort Wayne is in desperate need of a knowledgable someone to come and say "Weed" or "Not Weed" for many of the plants I have. I'm not sure what to pull and what to leave alone.

I do want to get vegetables going next year, and I'm trying to figure out the best place to set aside for them. And I'll have to figure out what to do about the bunnies that keep visiting.

Indeed! Thanks folks for the compliments. We too get sick of the lack of fresh-ish veggies. This will keep us going all summer with tomatoes at the least. I'm pickling some peppers today as well. Yum.
