Small Town U.S.A. - Around America in 80 days
Over the following pages you can track my progress as I circumnavigate the 48 contiguous states of the US, starting and finishing in New York. I’ll be visiting the smallest populated town in each state and, sort of, hanging around, talking to the resident(s), taking some pictures and . . . well, there’s not going to be much else to do in a town with a population of 1 - is there?  Now, while it’s important for every project to have a focus please don’t think that this endeavor is just about visiting some small towns. I think it’s about more than that. It’s really about me taking the once-in-a-lifetime chance to see a whole country, from one coast to another, from the highest mountains to the lowest deserts. And it’s about finding the ‘real’ America, if such a thing even exists. So, the 48 towns are important but the real learning will come from everything that happens around them, for as Greg Anderson said - “Focus on the journey, not the destination. Joy is found not in finishing an activity but in doing itâ€.This site has a great photo expose of what makes the U.S. such a great place. Diversity and small towns. If you are a small town kind-of-guy-or-gal, watch his slideshow! Frightening is that I have actually visit a place in the photos. Enjoy! p.s. The site was made on a Mac! :)
