The Heresy in Theistic Evolution

The Heresy in Theistic Evolution

Natural Selection is the problem. OK, it is contrary to the Bible. But there is more at stake here than simply a factual error. The real problem is that Theistic Evolution denies God's mercy. It assumes a brutal creation where humanity has scratched, clawed, and murdered its way to the top of the food chain. It sees humanity not as the weak sheep of creation who are shepherded by the Lord in grace and given creation as their dominion, but rather as those who have earned it through ruthless brutality. Theistic Evolution sees this is God's Hand, the way He brought humanity to where He wanted us, but such a method then makes God into a tyrant. In contrast, the 6-day creation understands God has placed humanity into this position and keeps them there by mercy. He takes up not the flesh of the victor, the strongest or most brutal animal on the planet, but that which He has chosen to love without any merit or worthiness of its own.
