Of all the summer catechesis from the Table of Duties in Luther’s Small Catechism, the study of the vocations of employer and employee received the most feedback. In conversation we noted how revolutionary the view of labor is from the Scriptures. It runs in the face of socialism, usury, unions, and the incessant pursuit of personal gain. Rev.
